Her multidisciplinary projects exploring queer\, trans\, and sex worker counter-histories have been exhibited and performed at The Rooms\, Eastern Edge\, Grenfell Art Gallery\, and Union House Arts. She is the recipient of the 2023 Emerging Artist Award and 2025 Milestone Award from VANL-CARFAC. DESCRIPTION:HOLD FAST Festival is a celebration of contemporary performance\, interdisciplinary art\, and community engagement in St. John’s\, Ktaqmkuk/NL.\nThis year’s festival takes place August 12-15\, 2026. \nOur core values are:\n\n\nFacilitating community engagement and meaningful exchange\nIncreasing public arts literacy\nCreating opportunities for artists\nCritiquing and subverting structural oppressions & systems of power\, with emphasis on:\n\nqueer\, feminist\, and anti-racist perspectives\nNewfoundland & Labrador regional identity\nand Indigenous resistance to colonialism\n\n\n\n\nHOLD FAST culminates in a Saturday afternoon Art Crawl\, a series of performances\, installations\, and interactive pop-ups staged outdoors and in non-gallery venues across downtown St. John’s. Past programming has included performances\, interactive installations\, artist talks\, workshops\, dance\, drag\, burlesque\, film screenings\, and free community events for people of all ages. \n\n\nHOLD FAST respectfully acknowledges that the land we are occupying is the unceded and ancestral homelands of the Beothuk and that Ktaqmkuk\, known as the island of Newfoundland\, is home to the Mi’kmaq peoples. We would also like to recognize the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut\, and the Innu of Nitassinan as the original peoples of Labrador. We strive to move beyond acknowledgment to active solidarity\, by building meaningful relationships in our communities\, dismantling structures of white supremacy\, and opposing ongoing colonization. We invite our communities to consider their own responsibilities to Indigenous peoples and to the stolen lands where we make our homes.

From hand-built or wheel-thrown ceramic mugs to linocut printed artwork\, tea towels\, and more\, the Pottery & Print Fair celebrates makers and the handmade process. \nThis is a curated market dedicated to ceramic artists and printmakers in NL. We aim to highlight the skill\, patience\, and passion behind every piece fired and every print pulled\, paying homage to traditional techniques.\nAdmission: Suggested donation $5 or pay what you can at the door (kids under 18 are free when accompanied by adults.) ATC is a registered non-profit and this event is a fundraiser to support our programming. Entry fee includes a ballot for a door prize.

DESCRIPTION:“Transformation is part of deep time\, when life hangs like a question mark\, fragile and always changing. Sometimes a single moment\, a single breath\, in a single day can determine a life but it can also take years and decades to form a life. The process of transformation allows us to live in the continuous present as we know we will not be the same person tomorrow that we were today. In the symphony of breath\, confidence takes centre stage\, each inhalation a declaration of self-assurance\, and each exhalation a release of doubt. The arithmetic of life can be looked at as continuous subtraction or as continuous transformation. In the cadence of each breath\, there is an unwavering pulse that harmonizes with the ever-shifting melody of life. When parts of our life run thin like the transparent chrysalis of a butterfly there is room for transformation\, change\, growth\, movement –a breathturn.” \nFeaturing over 20\,000 screen-printed butterflies installed on locally foraged branches\, plus an intricate floor cloth with a ‘Search and Find’ activity\, Breathturn is an immersive\, large-scale work you won’t want to miss. \n12:30pm – Doors Open\n1pm to 2pm – Artist Talk & Q&A\n2pm to 3pm – Public Reception & Screen Printing Demo (optional: bring a fabric item to screenprint!)
