SUMMARY:Toronto hip hop artist "Roney" performing in St. John's @ The Rock House\, Nov 22 2024
DESCRIPTION:If you’re a fan of Canadian hip hop\, there’s no doubt you’ve heard of Roney. He’s known as the unstoppable rapper from The 6ix\, consistently dropping music; bangers after bangers. Roney has countless of hit songs and is one of the hardest working rappers in Canada thus why he’s the reasons he’s known as The Hardest Out. One of his breakout tracks is “Little Do You Know” and this song will have story telling rap fans playing it on repeat. Heartfelt will get you in your feelings and vibing to his music\, bumping the lyrics word for word. One of his biggest breakout tracks is “Forget About Me” which was featured on the WSHH Youtube channel in 2019 and currently has over 2 million views and over 4 million on Spotify. \nIn October 2020\, Roney dropped his Apple Music chart topping album “Different Route” which peaked at #16 on the hip hop/rap charts’ which many songs will be performed. Catch his hit single Go There\, which has recently turned gold and has almost 2 million views on YouTube and 6 million plus on Spotify and was added to the Hip Hop Central playlist. Trapstar was also a big track and got added to the Hip Hop Central playlist on Spotify\, go bump this too! A month later he dropped a deluxe album and added more bangers like 007 and Attachable. \nRoneys most recent album Orphan dropped on his moms first birthday after her passing. He’s dropped music videos for his singles “Forreal” and the wavy rap song “Sauced em.” Like Ehh\, is a song that has been climbing in numbers and showing consistent growth. Fans mentioned that “Lawless” is similar to Go there but more grungy. Roney is consistent and versatile. He’s had a long-standing career and is bound for mainstream success. If you check out his promoted songs\, you’ll be digging for more; just watch and see. This is your chance to see Roney up close in person and watch him perform your favourite hit songs. SUMMARY:Double Vision - A Fine Art Exhibition of Clem Curtis and Anthony Brenton
DESCRIPTION:Art enthusiasts\, prepare for an evening of visual and auditory splendor!\nOn October 4\, step into the world of Double Vision – A Fine Art Exhibition\, where we celebrate the debut of Anthony Brenton’s compelling new artworks alongside classic creations by the esteemed Clem Curtis.\nAbout the Artists:\nAnthony Brenton is a visionary artist who merges the realms of poetry and painting. After years of immersing himself in the written word\, he found his true expression through painting. His recent collection\, born from an intense two-year period of creation\, features psychological abstraction and imaginative schizocartoonism. Each piece showcases intricate portraits and dynamic scenes\, rendered with a unique\, vibrant style. Anthony’s studio is nestled in Conception Bay South\, NL\, where he continues to push artistic boundaries.\nClem Curtis\, a native of Newfoundland\, is a distinguished painter based in St. John’s. His work\, which spans a range of mediums\, is deeply inspired by his passion for music and literature. Clem’s artistic excellence has been recognized with two Arts and Letters competition awards. His pieces grace numerous private collections\, the Rooms provincial art bank\, and the City of St. John’s permanent collection\, reflecting a rich and diverse artistic legacy.\nThe evening’s festivities begin at 8pm\, featuring an evocative gallery display of Anthony and Clem’s art. As you explore the exhibition\, enjoy live musical performances by the eclectic Colleen Power\, Dan Keating\, and Andrew Waterman. This celebration takes place upstairs at Lucy’s Bar on 371 Duckworth Street. The event includes a $10 cover charge and offers a cash bar for your convenience. Both artists will be in attendance.\nJoin us for an unforgettable night of art and music. We look forward to sharing this extraordinary experience with you!\nThis event is a Pond Pop-Up.
