St. John’s remains the most visited cruise port in Newfoundland and Labrador, forecasting 39 cruise ship calls during the 2026 season. As the province’s capital city and a key gateway in the North Atlantic cruise corridor, St. John’s plays an important role in connecting global cruise itineraries with Newfoundland and Labrador.
This season, the port will host 13 turnaround calls, where passengers begin or end their cruise journeys in the city, as well as six overnight stays. These extended visits give travellers more time to explore St. John’s and the surrounding region while bringing additional visitors who stay in local hotels and experience the city before or after their cruise.
Throughout the season, St. John’s is expected to welcome 33,652 passengers and 16,107 crew members, supporting local businesses, tour operators, restaurants, and cultural experiences across the region.
