This information session will cover topics that pertain to what all members need to know about the importance of reporting incidents that affect safety for all, as well as how to do-so.
Hosted by the RNC, this information session will also be extended to all members of stakeholding organizations that comprise the Downtown Safety Coalition – a working group formed around the
matter of safety in the downtown.
Downtown St. John’s (DTSJ), George Street Association (GSA), City of St. John’s (CSJ), Destination St. John’s (DSJ), Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador (HNL), Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC), Ministers
of the Provincial Government, and MusicNL are aligned in the priority of safety in the downtown.

It’s very important to report all types of criminal activity. Information provided to the police is a valuable source of information when investigating criminal activity in a specific area. It can be used to identify criminal trends and assist with crime prevention strategies.
