Double Vision – A Fine Art Exhibition of Clem Curtis and Anthony Brenton

Art enthusiasts, prepare for an evening of visual and auditory splendor!
On October 4, step into the world of Double Vision – A Fine Art Exhibition, where we celebrate the debut of Anthony Brenton’s compelling new artworks alongside classic creations by the esteemed Clem Curtis.
About the Artists:
Anthony Brenton is a visionary artist who merges the realms of poetry and painting. After years of immersing himself in the written word, he found his true expression through painting. His recent collection, born from an intense two-year period of creation, features psychological abstraction and imaginative schizocartoonism. Each piece showcases intricate portraits and dynamic scenes, rendered with a unique, vibrant style. Anthony’s studio is nestled in Conception Bay South, NL, where he continues to push artistic boundaries.
Clem Curtis, a native of Newfoundland, is a distinguished painter based in St. John’s. His work, which spans a range of mediums, is deeply inspired by his passion for music and literature. Clem’s artistic excellence has been recognized with two Arts and Letters competition awards. His pieces grace numerous private collections, the Rooms provincial art bank, and the City of St. John’s permanent collection, reflecting a rich and diverse artistic legacy.
The evening’s festivities begin at 8pm, featuring an evocative gallery display of Anthony and Clem’s art. As you explore the exhibition, enjoy live musical performances by the eclectic Colleen Power, Dan Keating, and Andrew Waterman. This celebration takes place upstairs at Lucy’s Bar on 371 Duckworth Street. The event includes a $10 cover charge and offers a cash bar for your convenience. Both artists will be in attendance.
Join us for an unforgettable night of art and music. We look forward to sharing this extraordinary experience with you!
This event is a Pond Pop-Up.
